Child Labour In Bangladesh

A large number of people in Bangladesh maintain their families working as laborers. But they can't maintain their family properly with a very little income . As a result , they are compelled to engage their children in physical work from a very early age to supplement with their income . But these children earn very little compared to the volume of work . Instead of going to school , they go to work . They can't read and write.

These children work in the houses of well-to-do families as servants or maid servants . Sometimes in rural areas , they work as land-laborers who work in the scorching  heat and tormenting rain .These children sometimes works in shops , hotels and restaurants . There also founds to carry brick and other building materials from one place to another . They are seen to crush brick . Even some are found to work as street-hawkers , rickshaw-pullers and car-cleaners . They work in small factories . Sometimes they polish boots , sell chanachurs , badam etc . They work as coolies at the railway platforms . Some work as porters . In rural area , some children catch and sell fishes .

The pitiable situation about child labor is that they are made to work for longer time than adult laborers but they are paid quite less than them . They have to face various situations . The children who in the houses as servants or maid servants are sometimes maltreated and even beaten by the masters and housewives . These children working as servants or maid servants have to work from early morning to late hours at night .They have to work for fifteen or eighteen hours a day . They are given rotten food .They are not even treated as human beings . At that growing age , they suffer from malnutrition and their physical as well as mental growth is retarded .They grow up only to become sick and drag a miserable existence . These child-labors have to work hard to survive . They have to work for longer times in shops and hotels with less wages . They are often oppressed by the owners . Minor boys working as rickshaw pullers and factory workers sometimes become victims of accidents , lose their limbs and pass their days as disabled persons . Accounting to ILO convention , the normal working hour is eight hours a day . But these child laborers  work from fifteen to eighteen hours a day . The hard labor badly affects their health . Those who work only eight hours a day in office or factory , don't hesitate to make the minor boy-servants or maid servants work 15 to 18 hours in their houses . This is sheer injustice and this can't be accepted .

We can't approve that these minor boys and girls should be ill-treated or mercilessly beaten in spite of their rend rendering so much toilsome services . All section of people as well as the government should security think about the matter . Child labour should be stopped by law . People in general should be more humans and sympathetic in their treatment towards the working children .

Consumer Services Accounting

consumer
The consumer services and retail sector is all about estimating demand, managing inventory, protecting and growing margins and competing for the most profitable market segments. Snyder Cohn has worked with retail firms for decades, helping them plan for and manage through all types of economic environments.

We identify key factors which affect your market and plan accordingly :

Identity theft and credit card fraud are requiring new investments in customer data security. Retailers who adopt new security strategies and systems need to plan for what can often be a costly and lengthy process to implement or upgrade their security precautions.
According to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), consumers have less time to spend at traditional shopping venues such as malls and are spending less time per trip. Retailers must understand what this trend means—challenge or opportunity—and how to stay ahead of the curve.

Many retailers have already starting leveraging—or studying how to leverage—the wave of environmental (or “green”) concern that has intensified over the last decade. Retailers must take into account a multitude of considerations and develop a range of assumptions about what their customers want or need and what type of premium—if any—they are willing to pay to be “green” .

Abortion as a Social Good: Author Katha Pollitt Pens New Vision for Pro-Choice Movement

Women

We look at a book out this week that offers a new vision for the pro-choice movement. In "Pro: Reclaiming Abortion Rights," Nation columnist Katha Pollitt dissects the logic behind the hundreds of abortion restrictions enacted over the past few years and shows that, at their core, they are not about safety, but about controlling women. In order to reverse the tide of eroding access, Pollitt concludes, the pro-choice movement must end the "awfulization" of abortion. She writes, "I want us to start thinking of abortion as a positive social good and saying this out loud."

Apple growth depends on services: Analyst

"Apple's becoming very pervasive in consumer lives and that's what could take the stock to the next level," UBS's Steve Milunovich told CNBC's "Closing Bell."
Reaction to last month's strong quarterly earnings report, combined with some optimism about the Apple Watch, has fueled Apple's recent climb higher, he said. The stock rose about half a percent on Tuesday and closed just below $128 per share.

What actually will the Apple watch do ?

Milunovich recently increased his Apple price target to $150 per share. As he looks for Apple to move higher, the "ecosystem is increasingly important," Milunovich said.
Offerings beyond hardware, including Apple Pay, will be vital to Apple's business model, he noted. Milunovich added that the company wants its iOS operating system "everywhere."
"Yes, they have to monetize through hardware, but services is really the glue to this story," he said.

Winning tech investors say stick with Apple .
He added that although he believes CEO Tim Cook has done well at Apple's helm, the company "is bigger than any one person at this point."
Despite his optimism, Milunovich believes some factors could pose risks to Apple. He noted that product delays and demand softened by macroeconomic weakness, among other factors, could tamper Apple's rise.

Amazon drone plans shot down by authorities

Amazon's drone delivery plans appear to have been shot down by U.S. regulators, who have proposed new rules that would require operators to keep the flying machines in their line of sight.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that operators of commercial unmanned aircraft would need to see the drone with "unaided vision," in draft rules published on Sunday.
It also said that small drones must not fly over people – denting Amazon's plans for its Prime Air drone delivery service.

The FAA is now consulting with the public and interested parties, and stressed that the rules would be flexible, giving hope that future revisions to the rules that could benefit companies planning to use drones for commercial purposes.
"We have tried to be flexible in writing these rules," FAA administrator Michael Huerta said in a statement. "We want to maintain today's outstanding level of aviation safety without placing an undue regulatory burden on an emerging industry."

Amazon rebuke

Amazon began testing drones in 2013 with the aim of delivering packages to customers in 30 minutes or less. To date, the e-commerce giant has been conducting tests at an indoor facility in Washington State and has been pushing the FAA to allow it to do outdoor trials. At the end of last year, Amazon warned that "key jobs and economic benefits" were at risk if the FAA didn't loosen its regulation.
In a rebuke to the FAA's proposals, Amazon threatened to take the development of its drone capabilities abroad.
"The FAA needs to begin and expeditiously complete the formal process to address the needs of our business, and ultimately our customers," Paul Misener, Amazon vice-president of global public policy, told CNBC by email.
"We are committed to realizing our vision for Prime Air and are prepared to deploy where we have the regulatory support we need."
The FAA proposed limiting drone flights to an altitude of 500 feet and a speed of no faster than 100 miles per hour. An operator would have to be at least 17 years old, passed an aeronautical knowledge test and obtained an FAA operator certificate.
Amazon is not the only company developing drone delivery capabilities. In China, e-commerce titan Alibaba tested done deliveries earlier this month, and last year, German-based company Deutsche Post DHL said it was also carrying out trials.
